My name is
Fran Davis. I've been making lampworked
beads since 1998. I was bitten by the glass bug back around 1996,
when I saw some pictures of Patti Walton's beads. They just blew me
away. I knew I had to learn how to
make glass beads.
I have
always loved beads and making things with them. Before I got into
glass beads, I made polymer clay beads for many years. I've been
involved in some form of art or craft for as long as I can remember.
For me, going into a craft store is dangerous! I always see something
new that I'd like to try.
I love
bright colours, especially purple as you can
probably tell. There isn't one style of bead that I really prefer
making over another. I love to make whatever strikes my fancy at that
time. I'll admit, it is fun to make a bead
with some kind of face on it. It seems to come alive once you
put the eyes on.
I work
full-time at making my beads. It's something I really love
doing. It's allowed me to travel and meet all kinds of people.
What more can you ask for?
If you have
any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you.
